Prayer Points 4 October
Prayer Points for The Coming Week:
Sunday 4 October. On this World Communion Sunday, give thanks for the fellowship we share with the communion of saints across the world and pray for a deepening of fellowship in Christ with all our fellow Christians locally and further afield.
Monday 5 October. Seek God's guiding in your own life and pray that you may be able to use the spiritual gifts you have been given for the blessing of those around you at this time.
Tuesday 6 October. Remember those who mourn at this time and especially at this time the family and friends of Betty Longmuir, Colin Malcolm and Grace Simpson.
Wednesday 7 October. The whole eldership of Kinross-shire Parish Church will be meeting this evening to continue discerning God's leading for the future shape of our ministry and mission as a united church. Pray for God's guiding for all the discussions and decisions.
Thursday 8 October. Pray for the leaders of the nations at this time of heightened global tension and pray for peace and reconciliation in all situations of conflict near and far.
Friday 9 October. Cry out to God for all who are enduring suffering today because of the cruelty or thoughtlessness or greed of others and pray that all wrongs will be righted and that justice will prevail.
Saturday 10 October. Lord of the feast, you have prepared a table before all peoples and poured out life with such abundance that death cannot claim the triumph over your universe. Call us again to your banquet where we may receive your holy food, and strengthened by what is honourable, just, and pure, be transformed into a people of righteousness and peace.
Amen
