Prayer Points 11 October
Prayer Points for The Coming Week:
Sunday 11 October. Give thanks for the particular calling God has given to each one of us and pray that we may all know God's purpose for us at this particular time.
Monday 12 October. In this season of harvest, pray that the good gifts of the earth may be equitably shared so that those who have much may not squander their plenty and that those who have little may have enough.
Tuesday 13 October. Pray for Christians who are sharing the Gospel in situations where there is opposition and persecution that they may shine like stars as they hold out the word of life.
Wednesday 14 October. Ask God's continued leading for the Kirk Session as they meet tonight, that the elders who are trustees may not only ensure the good governance of the congregation but may offer spiritual leadership.
Thursday 15 October. Pray for peace between individuals, groups and nations and yearn before God for the day when weapons will be transformed into agricultural tools.
Friday 16 October. Lift before God today someone you know who is going through a tough time and ask God to lead them into fullness of life.
Saturday 17 October. You know each of us by name, O God, and in your sight we have found favour, yet our minds cannot comprehend the vision of your glory or the vastness of your love. Grant that as we glimpse your greatness, reflected in your many gifts, we may always return to you the praise that is yours alone. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
