Prayer Points 8 November
Prayer Points for The Coming Week:
Sunday 8 November. As we fall silent today in company with millions across
the country and around the world, ask God to bring the silence of peace to
conflict zones and to the hearts of those who are filled with evil intent.
Monday 9 November. Pray that our children may inherit a world in which peace prevails
and where no-one is oppressed.
Tuesday 10 November. Pray for Val Rose who will be set apart as a Reader by the
Presbytery of Perth this evening at a service in Dunblane Cathedral.
Wednesday 11 November. Remember the Kirk Session as it meets this evening that
the trustees may be guided by the Holy Spirit in all the decisions they take.
Thursday 12 November. Hold before God any you know to be struggling at this time
because of illness or anxiety or because they are struggling to make ends meet.
Friday 13 November. Continue to pray for all in the church who work with children and
young people from babies and toddlers right through to teenagers that they may
shine like stars as they hold out the word of life.
Saturday 14 November. You, O God, are our dwelling-place from generation to
generation, our shield from anguish and distress. You arm us as children of light
with the hope of salvation, and you protect us by your love. Give us grace to
build up and encourage one another, as we seek wisdom and abundant life in
the strength of your Word and the assurance of your Spirit.
