Prayer Points 23 November
Prayers for The Coming Week
Sunday 23 November. As we celebrate that Christ is King of kings and Lord of
lords and pray that God's Kingdom will come, pray about one area of your own life in
which you still have to bow the knee to the loving authority of Jesus.
Monday 24 November. Lay before God all the different groups that meet under the umbrella of
Kinross-shire Parish Church and pray that newcomers may feel a welcome and soon
become part of the fellowship.
Tuesday 25 November. Ask God's guiding and enabling for all those involved in the
leadership of the church particularly as those previously involved in different
congregations seek a shared vision for the ministry and mission of the united church.
Wednesday 26 November. Remember before God those who today are conscious of their
own frailty through illness or anxiety or bereavement or loneliness and pray that they
may know God's strength and enabling.
Thursday 27 November. Pray for the work of the Nominating Committee in their search for
another Team Minister for the united parish. Pray also for St Paul's Episcopal Church
as they look for a new minister to be shared with St James' Church in Dollar.
Friday 28 November. Ask God's blessing on all areas of work with teenagers through
Crossfire, Brigade, Sunday@7, Alpha Youth, Scripture Union and the wider work of
KYTHE.
Saturday 29 November. God of justice and peace, from the heavens you rain down mercy
and kindness, that all on earth may stand in awe and wonder before your marvellous
deeds. Raise our heads in expectation, that we may yearn for the coming day of the
Lord and stand without blame before your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns for
ever, and ever.
Amen
