Prayer Points w/b 31 May
We believe in a God that hears and answers prayer. Why not print this page and use it during the week?
Sunday 31 May – Continue to pray that the Holy Spirit would be at work in each one of us, going before us to prepare the way for Jesus in our community.
Monday 1 June – Pray for ministry candidate, Emma Whitham, who today begins a 10-week summer placement with us as part of her training, that she may be a blessing to our church and that she may receive much experience among us.
Tuesday 2 June – Pray today for those who are facing problems with their health at the moment and especially those in hospital. Ask God's healing for them in body, mind and spirit and pray that all who care for them may be enabled to give of their best.
Wednesday 3 June – As we meet as a congregation this evening for the Stated Annual Meeting of the united church at Crook of Devon Village Hall, pray that existing friendships may be deepened and new ones forged over social interaction.
Thursday 4 June – Lift the world's conflict zones before God in prayer today and ask that the peace of the Prince of Peace may bring transformation in the hearts of all people.
Friday 5 June – It is not too soon to be praying for arrangements for the summer mission trip to Debrecen in July and for Family Week in August. Ask God to be preparing the way for seed to be sown and fruit to be harvested for the Kingdom.
Saturday 6 June – Beckoning God, you promise long journeys and new names. Call us out to risk holy adventure with unusual table companions. Linger with us so that we may be faithful disciples, touching the fringe of your healing on behalf of all your children. Amen.
Amen
