Prayer Points 9 November
We believe in a God that hears and answers prayer. Why not print this page and use it this week?
Remembrance Sunday, 9 November: On this day of solemn remembrance, pray for all in our armed forces currently on duty and for all engaged in seeking to bring peace and reconciliation in situations of conflict around the world.
Monday 10 November: Pray for the development of a mission strategy for the united parish as we seek to share the Good News of Jesus with all the people of Kinross-shire.
Tuesday 11 November: Seek God's blessing upon all aspects of our work with children and young people – Junior Church, Crossfire, Messy Church, Stepping Stones, Brigade, school chaplaincy and KYTHE that many may come to a living faith in Jesus that will shape their lives for good.
Wednesday 12 November: Remember the Trustees of Kinross-shire Parish Church as they meet this evening to ensure the good governance of our church's affairs.
Thursday 13 November: Pray for the older members of our community that they may know the strength of Christ in their daily lives especially at times when they are conscious of increasing personal frailty.
Friday 14 November: Ask God to expand the horizons of your experience of the church in other places within Kinross-shire, across Scotland and beyond. Remember our mission partners – the Great Church of Debrecen, the congregation of Mombwe in Malawi, Lorna Ferguson with OMF in Japan and the Waddells with the United Church of Zambia.
Saturday 15 November: O God, in Christ you give us hope for a new heaven and a new earth. Grant us wisdom to interpret the signs of our times, courage to stand in the time of trial, and faith to witness to your truth and love.
Amen
