Prayer Points 8 March
Prayer Points for The Coming Week:
Sunday 8 March. Quiet yourself as you listen for God's Word today and pray that
we all may be not only hearers of the Word but doers of it also.
Monday 9 March. In this time of global tension and armed conflict, pray for those directly
affected in many countries and for lasting peace in the power of the Prince of Peace.
Tuesday 10 March. Give thanks for organisations like Tearfund and Christian Aid as they
work with the most vulnerable in our world to end poverty and suffering.
Wednesday 11 March. Remember those who face persecution because of their faith in
Christ and pray that their witness may draw even their persecutors to know Jesus
themselves.
Thursday 12 March. Pray for the work of the Scottish Bible Society in its efforts to share
God's Word with the people of our own country and to support the United Bible
Societies worldwide.
Friday 13 March. Continue to remember in prayer the process towards the appointment of
a Pioneer Youth Minister which is now underway. Also keep Alex Johnson in your
prayers as he prepares for his ordination next week.
Saturday 14 March. God of the covenant, in the glory of the cross your Son embraced
the power of death and broke its hold over your people. In this time of repentance,
draw all people to yourself, that we who confess Jesus as Lord may put aside the
deeds of death and accept the life of your kingdom.
