Prayer Points 8 February
Prayer Points for The Coming Week
Sunday 8 February. Ask God's enabling for all who have a role to play at services today from preparing the sanctuary and giving a welcome, to having a part to play at the front, to supporting the service technically and through music, to serving refreshments and engaging in conversation that Christ may be known in our midst.
Monday 9 February. Pray for all who have recently been bereaved and who are walking in the valley of the shadow of death at this time that they may know the promised comfort and peace of the Good Shepherd.
Tuesday 10 February. Ask God's protection for those in our world who face persecution because of their faith in Christ and pray that they may shine like stars as they hold out the word of life to their persecutors.
Wednesday 11 February. Give thanks for the staff and volunteers of Kinross Centre and ask God's blessing on all who use the services there day by day that they may enjoy life to the full.
Thursday 12 February. Remember before God today those in our world who are suffering because of hunger or drought, homelessness and conflict and pray that the Church may be at the forefront of making these things history.
Friday 13 February. Pray for all the children and young people involved in areas of church life – Junior Church, Sunday@7, Crossfire, Stepping Stones, Brigade, Dungeons & Dragons, Alpha Youth and Messy Church – that they may be nurtured towards a life of Christian discipleship.
Saturday 14 February. Holy God, mighty and immortal, you are beyond our knowing, yet we see your glory in the face of Jesus Christ, whose compassion illumines the world. Transform us into the likeness of the love of Christ, who renewed our humanity so that we may share in his divinity, the same Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit.
Amen
