Prayers for The Coming Week

Sunday 7 September. As we gather at the Lord's Table this morning, pray for a
sense of the presence of Christ among us and for the ability to take hold by faith of
God's grace towards us in Jesus.
Monday 8 September. Give thanks to God for His provision for us as individuals and as a
Church and pray that the offerings of God's people in time, talents and money may
enable the work of the Gospel to be progressed in our community and in the wider
world.
Tuesday 9 September. Pray for the Presbytery of Perth meeting this evening that there would
be encouragement in the coming together of ministers and elders from far and wide
and as sense of God's leading of the Church in our area.
Wednesday 10 September. Seek God's blessing on the meeting of the Kinross-shire Kirk
Session this evening that there would be an openness to the leading of the Holy Spirit
in the shaping of our united parish.
Thursday 11 September. Remember those in our community who are suffering because of
illness of body, mind or spirit or because of bereavement, that they may know God's
comforting and restoring touch upon their lives at this time.
Friday 12 September. Ask God to intervene in the many situations of conflict that blight our
world and to breathe the peace of the Prince of Peace into the hearts of all people.
Saturday 13 September. Merciful God, your desire to bring us into your commonwealth is so
great that you seek us in the places of our ignorance, and the forgotten corners
where we hide in despair.
Gather us into your loving embrace, and pour upon us your wise and holy Spirit, so
that we may become faithful servants in whom you rejoice with all the company of
heaven.
