Prayer Points for The Coming Week
Sunday 6 September. Give thanks for all involved in supporting different aspects of public worship in all our churches both behind the scenes and face to face and pray that God would build His church in these days.
Monday 7 September. In days of turmoil in so many parts of the world, pray for peace where there is conflict, for freedom where people are held captive, and for the sharing of resources where there is poverty.
Tuesday 8 September. Remember those involved with groups for pre-school children and their carers in Fossoway, Kinross and Orwell churches each week and pray that good contacts will be developed with young families.
Wednesday 9 September. Keep all the elders of Kinross-shire Parish in your prayers in the various roles they fulfil and pray today for those who serve as Trustees of the congregation as the Kirk Session meets this evening that they may be guided in their responsibilities.
Thursday 10 September. Pray for fellowship groups such as Table Talk in Kinross, Tea & a Blether at Orwell and Refresh at Fossoway and ask God to bless the conversations and practical support that flow from these gatherings.
Friday 11 September. Pray for the ministry of the Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Association at the beginning of a new session and ask God's blessing on all involved.
Saturday 12 September. God of freedom, you brought your people out of slavery with a mighty hand. Deliver us from our captivity to pride and indifference to the needs and gifts of others, that we may be ready to love as you have loved us, and to give even as we have received.
