Prayer Points 6 July
We believe in a God that hears and answers prayer. Why not print this page and use it this week?
Sunday 6 July: As you pray for Irene McFarlane and Jim Redpath leading worship in Kinross this morning, pray also for Robert Calvert and the worship team leading the all-age service at Orwell and Christine Sime at Fossoway and at the monthly service at Cleish. Pray also for Alan Reid as he preaches this morning in the Great Church, Debrecen with the mission team from Kinross taking part in the service.
Monday 7 July: Ask God's blessing on the first day of the Scottish Camp in Debrecen, seeking God's enabling for the team from Kinross, for the children and young people attending from Debrecen and for those from the Great Church involved in helping with translation.
Tuesday 8 July: Pray for all those who bear the responsibility of leadership in church and in society and especially for the leaders of the nations that they may serve as Jesus served and lead in ways that will advance the Kingdom of God.
Wednesday 9 July: Remember those in our own community who struggle to make ends meet or who carry burdens that are too great for them. Pray for God's provision and for God's sustaining and pray that God would enable each of us to know what part we can each play in supporting others in times of need.
Thursday 10 July: Uphold before God today all those who are battling ill-health and those who have been recently bereaved, asking for healing and restoring for each one in the name of Jesus.
Friday 11 July: Pray that there will be much fruit from the mission undertaken in Debrecen this week, for a good rest day in Budapest for the team tomorrow and fellowship with the congregation of the Scots Kirk in Budapest on Sunday morning before the journey home.
Saturday 12 July: Divine Judge, you framed the earth with love and mercy and declared it good; yet we, desiring to justify ourselves, judge others harshly, without knowledge or understanding. Keep us faithful in prayer that we may be filled with the knowledge of your will, and not ignore or pass by another's need, but plumb the depths of love in showing mercy.
Amen
