Prayers for The Coming Week
Sunday 28 September. Join your voices with those in our united Parish attending
the Songs of Praise at Portmoak Church tonight. Pray for all of those involved in the
preparation and participation of this service.
Monday 29 September. Pray for the ‘Creative Crafters’ meeting in Fossoway Church Hall this
evening.
Tuesday 30 September. Pray for those attending the Guild tonight, to hear more about the
Scottish Bible Society’s ‘Books for Bairns’ scheme, aiming to get a children’s story
Bible into the hands of every child born in Scotland this year. Pray also for the many
volunteers who are needed to allow this scheme to work.
Wednesday 1 October. Ask God to be with all who are participating in, or
attending, the Midweek Service in the Church Centre today.
Thursday 2 October. Pray for the members of Table Talk, who meet together in fellowship,
on Zoom, this morning. Help them to encourage and nurture one another as they talk.
Friday 3 October. Remember in prayer all who bear the responsibility of leadership in our
churches, communities, our nation and in other countries around the world, asking
that they may serve with integrity and courage as they face challenges of all kinds.
Saturday 4 October. Ever-loving Father, May the choices we make be informed by Your
Word and Your forgiving love; give us the courage to leave behind a world of labels
and limitations and may any prejudices we hold be clear and be overcome; and may
our kindness and compassion for others be real and not just appear to be that way.
