Prayer Points 27 April

25 Apr 2025

We believe in a God that hears and answers prayer. Why not print this page and use it this week?

Sunday 27 April: Ask God's blessing on each person who comes through the doors of our churches to worship today, not only this morning in Kinross but also at Fossoway and Orwell, and at Portmoak and at Sunday@7 in Kinross this evening, that all may encounter the living Christ.

Monday 28 April: Pray for those elected to serve on the nominating committee of our united parish as they begin the search for our second full-time minister that they may know God's leading in the coming weeks and months, and for Rev Marc Prowe, interim moderator, as he guides them.

Tuesday 29 April: Pray for the Roman Catholic Church at this time of mourning for the late Pope Francis and as the search begins for a new leader for the coming years. Pray for the whole Church of Christ in the words of Jesus Himself for all who would believe in Him: “Father, May they be one, so that the world will believe that you sent me.” (John 17:21)

Wednesday 30 April: Continue to pray for peace in the world at this time and ask God's help for peacemakers in places such as Israel & Palestine, Russia and Ukraine.

Thursday 1 May: Pray today for all workers, that they may find satisfaction in all their toil and that they may be appropriately rewarded for their labour. At this time of economic constraint, pray for all those struggling to make ends meet.

Friday 2 May: Give thanks for all the groups who meet under the umbrella of the Church that individuals may find fellowship and support and be helped to follow Christ. Pray for Holly Douglas and Alan Doyle as they are married in the church this weekend.

Saturday 3 May: God of victory over death, your Son revealed Himself again and again and convinced His followers of His glorious resurrection. Grant that we may know His risen presence, in love obediently feed His sheep and care for the lambs of His flock until we join the hosts of heaven in worshipping you and praising Him who is worthy of blessing and honour and glory and power for ever and ever.

Amen
