Prayers for The Coming Week

Sunday 26 October. On this Bible Sunday, give thanks to God for His living Word
and pray that as the seed of the Gospel is sown there may be fruit thirty, sixty, a
hundred times what is sown.
Monday 27 October. Ask God to pour out the Holy Spirit afresh upon our church and
community that many may find a deeper experience of God in Jesus Christ in these
days.
Tuesday 28 October. Give thanks for all the pre-school children who are involved with
Stepping Stones on a Tuesday morning in the church and for the adults who
accompany them that they may find a welcome and be prompted to get involved in
other church activities.
Wednesday 29 October. Pray that the visit of the German brass band to Kinross for a
concert this evening may be a fruitful encounter between performers and audience,
visitors and hosts.
Thursday 30 October. Pray for the youth organisations as they make preparations for
Remembrance commemorations next month.
Friday 31 October. Pray that the Light Party in the church this evening may stand out for all
that is bright and good in the face of what is celebrated by so many at this time of
year.
Saturday 1 November. God of faithful surprises, throughout the ages you have
made known your love and power in unexpected ways and places. May we daily
perceive the joy and wonder of your abiding presence and offer our lives in gratitude
for our redemption.
