Prayer Points for The Coming Week
Sunday 25 January. Pray for all who will gather across the united parish today for services of worship and ask God to bless those who have a part to play in each service including leading prayers, reading, preaching, leading praise, giving a welcome at the door, providing technical support and serving refreshments.
Monday 26 January. Pray for our partner churches in Hungary and in Malawi and ask God to prompt any who might consider being part of the Scottish Camp in Debrecen this summer.
Tuesday 27 January. Ask for God's hand to be upon the leaders of the nations at this time of uncertainty and anxiety and pray that the Holy Spirit will blow the wind of peace upon our world.
Wednesday 28 January. Remember the work of Kinross Centre, Broke Not Broken, and KYTHE. Ask God to empower staff and volunteers in each of these organisations in the work they do with the vulnerable in our community.
Thursday 29 January. Pray for the congregations of Dollar and Muckhart as they are united at a service this evening and as they begin the process of calling a minister along with Tillicoultry.
Friday 30 January. Give thanks for the very helpful discussions that took place at the meeting of Kinross-shire elders last Saturday and continue to pray for the development of an Action Plan for the coming years.
Saturday 31January. God our deliverer, you walk with the meek and the poor, the compassionate and those who mourn, and you call us to walk humbly with you. When we are foolish, be our wisdom; when we are weak, be our strength; that, as we learn to do justice and to love mercy, your rule may come as blessing.
