Prayer Points for The Coming Week

Sunday 24 May.  On this Pentecost Sunday, pray that the Holy Spirit may equip all of us to play our part in the ministry of Christ here in Kinross-shire and wherever we may be commissioned to go, that the Body of Christ may be built up in these days and be a blessing to the wider community for the sake of Christ's Kingdom.

Monday 25 May.  Remember organisations such as Christian Aid, Tearfund and Mission Aviation Fellowship as they serve some of this world's most vulnerable and struggling people, and pray that their work and witness may be supported and sustained financially and prayerfully.

Tuesday 26 May.  Keep in your prayers the various strands of youthwork in our church and community, praying for the Brigade and for KYTHE and for our children and young people in worship, that all may be nurtured and enabled to thrive spiritually as well as physically and emotionally.

Wednesday 27 May.  Give thanks for all the different groups that meet within our church family, including the Guild, Table Talk, the Craft Group, All Friends Together, Tea & a Blether, Let's Sing, and the various house-groups, that all in our church family may enjoy the encouragement of supportive Christian fellowship.

Thursday 28 May.  Continue to pray for those elected recently to the Scottish Parliament and indeed for all those who hold responsibilities in our national life and across the world that they may act with justice, integrity and compassion in all they do for the common good.

Friday 29 May.  Take a moment to lift before God someone whose name is in your mind today and ask for the gracious touch of God upon their particular circumstances at the moment that they may enjoy life in all its fullness through Christ.

Saturday 30 May.  God, whose fingers sculpt sun and moon and curl the baby’s ear; Spirit, brooding over chaos before the naming of day; Saviour, sending us to earth’s ends with water and words: startle us with the grace, love, and communion of your unity in diversity, that we may live to the praise of your majestic name.

Amen
