Prayer Points 22 June

20 Jun 2025

We believe in a God that hears and answers prayer. Why not print this page and use it this week?

Sunday 22 June: As we celebrate the end of another session in the life of the church give thanks for all who have served in any capacity in the ministry and mission of our newly united congregation and pray for a time of rest and refreshment over the coming weeks.

Monday 23 June: Pray for the many locally who have been bereaved recently that each one may know the peace and comfort of the Good Shepherd in these days.

Tuesday 24 June Pray for the peace of the world at a time of extreme uncertainty. Ask God to stay the hand of those who are intent on initiating or prolonging conflict and pray for those in our world who live in fear of violence today.

Wednesday 25 June: Ask God's protection for Christians in places where they face persecution for naming the name of Jesus, that they may courageously share the Gospel that sets people free.

Thursday 26 June: Pray for pupils, teachers and parents as the schools break up for the summer holidays. Pray for Alex Johnson and Alan Reid as they take part in the end of term assembly at Kinross Primary School.

Friday 27 June: Continue to remember the summer mission team in final preparations for the Scottish Camp in Debrecen. The team travels on 5th July and the camp begins on the 7th.

Saturday 28 June: O God, you set us free in Jesus Christ with a power greater than all that would keep us captive. Grant that we might live gracefully in our freedom without selfishness or arrogance, and through love become slaves to the freedom of the gospel for the sake of your reign.

Amen
