Prayer Points 22 February
Prayer Points for The Coming Week:
Sunday 22 February. Give thanks for the freedom we have to meet for worship
and fellowship and to share the Gospel with those around us and remember before
God those in our world who today face persecution because they take the name of
Jesus on their lips.
Monday 23 February. Pray for Alex Johnson as he prepares to take his ordination vows that
he may know God's leading into the future as he has thus far.
Tuesday 24 Febuary. Ask God to strengthen the hands of all who work for the relief of
poverty in our own community, in our nation and across the world. Pray for
organisations like Broke Not Broken, Christians Against Poverty, Christian Aid and
Tearfund.
Wednesday 25 February. Uphold before God today those who are unwell or struggling with
life for some reason. Pray for those who offer support to the suffering whether in a
professional capacity or as friends and neighbours.
Thursday 26 February. Give thanks for the work of KYTHE and pray for the recruitment of a
Pioneer Youth Minister currently underway that the person of God's choosing may be
called to serve.
Friday 27 February. As we prepare ourselves to join with others at the Lord's Table this
Sunday pray for a deepening communion with God and with one another in our life as
a united church.
Saturday 28 February. God of amazing compassion, lover of our wayward race, you bring
to birth a pilgrim people and call us to be a blessing for ourselves and all the world.
We pray for grace to take your generous gift and step with courage on this holy path,
confident in the radiant life that is your plan for us, made known and given in Jesus
Christ our Lord.
