Prayer Points 21 June

19 Jun 2026

Prayer Points for The Coming Week:

Sunday 21 June.  Pray for an increasing sense of belonging together as one congregation across the united parish as Alex and Alan swap pulpits again today. Pray that the lessons we have been learning in recent weeks from the Letter of James may have an impact in our lives.

Monday 22 June.  Take a moment to pray for peace in one situation of international conflict and somewhere you know of conflict closer to home, perhaps amongst individuals or groups.

Tuesday 23 June.   Remember those who face persecution for their faith in Christ and ask God not only to protect them but also to make them a blessing to those who persecute them.

Wednesday 24 June.   Pray for the elders of the united parish as they meet this evening to focus on the various outreach projects of the church. Pray for vision and discernment.

Thursday 25 June.   Ask God to draw near today to someone you know who is going through difficult times that they may find peace and hope, healing and reconciliation, and fullness of  life.

Friday 26 June.   Give thanks for our overseas partnerships with the congregations of Mombwe in Malawi and the Great Church of Debrecen in Hungary and ask God to help us deepen our fellowship with them in shared service.

Saturday 27 June.  Faithful God, your love stands firm from generation to generation, your mercy is always abundant. Give us open and understanding hearts, that having heard your
word, we may seek Christ’s presence in all whom we meet.

Amen
