Prayer Points 19 October

Sunday 19 October: Ask God for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our church at this time so that all in our communities may see Christ at work among us and be drawn to seek new life in Jesus.
Monday 20 October: Join your voices with all who pray for peace in every corner of the world, asking God to restrain those who are set on pursuing violence and to enable all peacemakers.
Tuesday 21 October: Keep those who mourn at this time in your prayers together with all who are struggling with problems of physical or mental health, that all may know God's caring touch.
Wednesday 22 October: Give thanks for the work of the Scottish Bible Society, rejoicing that 7000 audio Bibles have been distributed to elderly people in care homes. Pray that those who have received them may find a sense of connection and hope in God's Word.
Thursday 23 October: Take time today to pray for someone you know who is going through a difficult time and pray for the opportunity to share the Good News of Christ with them.
Friday 24 October: Pray for the officers, girls and boys of our Brigade Company as they prepare for this Sunday's Enrolment Service.
Saturday 25 October: O Wellspring of Salvation, we come to you in joy, for you have heard the prayers of the poor and raised up the lowly. Pour out your Spirit on young and old alike, that our dreams and visions may bring justice and peace to the world.
