Prayer Points 18 October
Prayer Points for The Coming Week:
Sunday 18 October. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the
harvest fields that God's Word will fall on good ground, that many will hear and
respond to the good news and lives will be transformed.
Monday 19 October. Remember those who mourn at this time and pray for God's comfort
and peace in the coming days and months.
Tuesday 20 October. Give thanks for the opportunity that many have at this time of year to
take a break. Pray that those on holiday may find refreshment and new energy for the
tasks that await them when they return.
Wednesday 21 October. Pray for an outpouring of God's Spirit upon our community that
the Good News of Jesus may be told and heard and that those who are seeking
answers to life's questions may find the direction they need.
Thursday 22 October. Ask God to strengthen the hand of all those who work to overturn
injustice in our world whether in our own locality or on the global stage.
Friday 23 October. As the weather gets colder, pray for those who are without shelter or
who are struggling to meet the cost of heating.
Saturday 24 October. Almighty God, your Son has shown us how to love one another. May
our love for you overflow into joyous service and be a healing witness to our
neighbours through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
