Prayer Points 17 May
Prayer Points for The Coming Week:
Sunday 17 May. As the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland is in session pray
that in our days there may be a vibrant, worshipping and witnessing Christian community in
every location and amongst every network in Scotland.
Monday 18 May. On the final day of this year's General Assembly, pray that words may
become deeds and that the whole church may be sent out and commissioned afresh to live
the Gospel of the Kingdom across our land that many may be drawn to Christ in our time.
Tuesday 19 May. Pray that the positions of Pioneer Youth Minister and Ministry Associate may
be filled by those whom God has chosen and appointed for these roles and that the ministry
of the whole church in Kinross-shire may be enabled to grow and develop at this time.
Wednesday 20 May. Remember the work of Kinross Centre and pray especially for Nan Cook,
the manager and the staff and volunteers who provide such a significant service to the
elderly in our community.
Thursday 21 May. Give thanks for the team of 8 who are preparing to go to Hungary in July in
partnership with the Great Church of Debrecen and ask God to guide all the plans that are
being made for the running of the camp there that there may be blessing for all involved.
Friday 22 May. Continue to pray for peace across the world and for protection for all who are
in danger because of conflict, poverty or persecution.
Saturday 23 May. Holy God, you spoke the world into being. Pour your Spirit to the ends of
the earth, that your children may return from exile as citizens of your commonwealth, and
our divisions may be healed by your word of love and righteousness.
Amen
