Prayer Points for the Coming Week
Sunday 16 August. As we join in worship today, pray that God will be graciously but powerfully at work among us and through us in the wider community during the coming year.
Monday 17 August. Ask God's blessing for Alan Finlay as he starts as pioneer youth minister in Kinross-shire and begins to discover the opportunities that are opening out through KYTHE and all the local churches.
Tuesday 18 August. As our children and young people return to school today for a new session, pray that each one may grow in body, mind and spirit in the coming year in fulfilment of their unique potential.
Wednesday 19 August. Pray for the Kirk Session as they meet this evening and seek God's leading for the year ahead.
Thursday 20 August. Pray for guidance in developing appropriate new opportunities for worship in Glenfarg and, in due course, in Cleish and Portmoak when the church buildings there are sold.
Friday 21 August. Ask for the breath of God's peace to be felt in all areas of conflict in our world today and for the Gospel of Christ to transform individuals, communities and nations.
Saturday 22 August. Your voice burns within the depths of our being, O God of our ancestors, and draws us into your presence and service. Hear the cries of your people and speak a word of comfort, that we may proclaim to all the earth the glory of your name.
