Prayer Points for The Coming Week
Sunday 15 March. On this Mothering Sunday, give thanks for the nurture we all
receive within the family of the Church in whatever form that comes and remember in
particular not only those who are mothers but also those who wish that they had been
mothers and those who mourn the loss of their mother.
Monday 16 March. Keep before God those who are suffering at the moment in the midst
of the wars raging in the Middle East and in Ukraine and pray for peaceful solutions to
be found to these conflicts.
Tuesday 17 March. Give thanks for our partnership with the Great Church of Debrecen in
Hungary and pray for Istvan Olah who is visiting us this week with his son Bendek,
that they may have a fulfilling experience of the life of the church here during their
stay.
Wednesday 18 March. Pray for the members of Presbytery who will be leading
tomorrow's service of Ordination and Induction and for all those locally who are
preparing for the refreshments after the service.
Thursday 19 March. Uphold before God today all the practical arrangements for the
service of Ordination and Induction this evening and pray especially for Alex as he
receives the laying on of hands by the Presbytery.
Friday 20 March. Entrust to God the life of our united parish and pray that we will keep in
step with the Spirit as we seek to engage in ministry and mission in the coming years.
Saturday 21 |March. Pray that Alex's first services as Team Minister at Fossoway and
Orwell tomorrow morning will be uplifting occasions for people from all over the united
parish as we come together to celebrate this significant step in our life together.
