Prayers for The Coming Week
Sunday 14th September. At the beginning of Guild Week, give thanks for all who
have come together from across the united parish for worship, fellowship and service
as part of the Kinross-shire Parish Church Guild.
Monday 15 September. Cry out to God for those who are suffering in our world because of
warfare or natural disaster that help may come to them in the midst of their struggle.
Tuesday 16 September. Remember those in our own community who are struggling to make
ends meet and give thanks for the work of Broke Not Broken which we are supporting
this year with our Harvest offering.
Wednesday 17 September. Pray for the continuing work of Kinross Centre and for all the staff,
volunteers and service users who come together for lunch and a variety of activities.
Thursday, 18th: Keep in your prayers the young of our parish, remembering the work
of schools and youth organisations, including KYTHE and our own Junior Church and
Crossfire.
Friday 19 September. Join your voice with all who are praying for Christians facing persecution
for their faith and ask God to minister to them and to challenge their persecutors.
Saturday 20 September. When joy is gone and hearts are sick, O God, you give us Christ
as our healing balm. He came in human flesh that he might give himself as a
ransom for our salvation and anoint us with the Spirit of consolation and joy. Hear the
cry of your people, that we may rejoice in the richness of your love and be faithful
stewards of your many gifts.
Amen
