Prayer Points for The Coming Week
Sunday 13 September. As we listen today in worship for the voice of Jesus the Good
Shepherd pray that we will be not only hearers of the Word but doers of it too.
Monday 14 September. Give thanks for the opportunity the ministers have to lead school assemblies
this week in Kinross High School and pray that this time of reflection will give food for
thought to our young people and will prompt deeper conversations about spiritual things.
Tuesday 15 September. Pray for the Ministry Team – Monica, Alex, Alan F and Alan R – as they
meet regularly each Tuesday morning to pray and to plan. Ask God to work through them
fruitfully.
Wednesday 16 September. As members of the Ministry Team make themselves available at
different times and places over the next three weeks for 'vestry hour' conversations with
church members pray that these would be fruitful times.
Thursday 17 September. Entrust to God the reshaping of ministry and mission in the communities in
our parish where there is now or will be in the future no church building – especially
Glenfarg where the church building has already closed.
Friday 18 September. Continue to pray for peace in the world not only in the major conflict zones like
the Middle East, Ukraine and Sudan but also in the homes and hearts of our own
community.
Saturday 19 September. God of miracles and of mercy, all creation sings your praise. Like the
vineyard owner, your grace is extravagant and unexpected. Lead us to repentance and the
acceptance of your grace, that we may witness to your love, which embraces both those we
call friend and those we call stranger.
