Prayer Points 13 July
We believe in a God that hears and answers prayers. Why not print this page and use it this week?
Sunday 13 July: Pray for any who may be visiting our church this Sunday while on holiday and pray for those of our congregation who are away just now, that they may have the opportunity to find fellowship with Christians wherever they may be.
Monday 14 July: Uphold before God those who face persecution because of their faith in Christ and pray that the witness they give to their persecutors may bring transformation and new life to those who, as yet, have not encountered the risen Lord.
Tuesday 15 July: Pray for preparations for Family Week as the teams’ leading each group finalise their plans and ask God to prepare the hearts of every single person who will attend the holiday club this year, that the Good News about Jesus may be heard in every corner of our community.
Wednesday 16 July: Seek God's blessing on all who will be involved with Magnitude Christian festival at Lendrick Muir from this Saturday including a good number of local young people attending with KYTHE.
Thursday 17 July: Remember those in Christian service with whom we have connections around the world: the Great Church in Debrecen, Sarah Samanyika in Malawi, Ruth Jack with MAF in Uganda, Lorna Ferguson about to return to Japan with OMF, Kathy Dain in the USA
Friday 18 July: Ask God's blessing on the work of the Nominating Committee as they seek the person of God's choosing to serve as the second minister in Kinross-shire and pray for the continuing work of shaping the planned youth ministry post for the parish.
Saturday 19 July: Ever-faithful God, whose being is perfect righteousness, reconcile us in your Son with the helpless and the needy, with those we would ignore or oppress and with those we have called enemies, that we may serve all people as your hands of love, and sit at the feet of those who need our compassionate care.
Amen
