Prayer Points 11 January
Prayer Points for The Coming Week:
Sunday 11 January. Pray for Alex Johnson as he preaches this morning as sole
nominee in the vacancy that he may know God's leading and enabling as he
conducts worship and that we as a congregation may be led by the Holy Spirit as we
cast our votes.
Monday 12 January. Pray for all those entrusted with the task of leading us forward as a
united congregation following yesterday's voting, that Kinross-shire Parish Church
may be a beacon of light in the wider community.
Tuesday 13 January. At a time of international uncertainty and anxiety, pray that God's
Kingdom may be extended in these days and that many may be actively seeking
God's guidance and strength as they play their part, especially the leaders of the
nations.
Wednesday 14 January. Give thanks for the work of Kinross Centre and Broke Not Broken
in our community and pray that the needs of all may be met.
Thursday 15 January. Remember the children and young people of our community and
those who support them at home, at school and in the activities that they take part in.
Friday 16 January. Pray for the elders of the united parish as they gather in conference to
help shape an action plan for the coming years, that they may be open to the leading
of the Holy Spirit and the needs of church and community at this time.
Saturday 17 January. Perfect Light of revelation, as you shone in the life of Jesus, whose
epiphany we celebrate, so shine in us and through us, that we may become beacons
of truth and compassion, enlightening all creation with deeds of justice and mercy.
