Prayers for The Coming Week

Sunday, 10th August: Ask God to draw people to church services today by His Spirit
and to enable those who come to find a real welcome in whatever congregation they
join.
Monday, 11th: Continue to pray for all who encountered God during Family Week and
pray that the seeds of faith that were sown will be nurtured over the coming weeks
and months so that they may grow and flourish for the honour of God's name.
Tuesday, 12th: Pray that the peace of the Prince of Peace may be established in the
hearts of all people, especially in situations where inter-personal, inter-ethnic or
international conflict has become destructive.
Wednesday, 13th: Pray for the Kirk Session meeting this evening to finalise the
parish profile that will be used for the advertising of the vacancy for a second full-time
minister for the united parish.
Thursday, 14th: Seek God's blessing on the work of local organisations like Kinross
Centre, Broke Not Broken, KYTHE and the Volunteer Group who are trying to offer
support to various groups of people in our community, with church members
volunteering in all of them.
Friday, 15th: As children and parents and teachers prepare for the return to school
next week, pray that all will be ready to make the most of opportunities in the coming
session.
Saturday, 16th: Judge eternal, you love justice and hate oppressions; you give peace
to those who seek it and you condemn the rage of violence. Give us courage to take
our stand with all victims of bloodshed and greed and, following your servants and
prophets, look to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.

Amen
