Prayer Points 1 June

30 May 2025

We believe in a God that hears and answers prayer. Why not print this page and use it this week?

Sunday 1 June: “Our Father in heaven...” During the course of this week pray for five people whom you long to see come to know that they are a child of God.

Monday 2 June: “Hallowed be Your Name.” Take time today to still yourself, to worship and honour God and celebrate the character and love and power of God in the midst of your daily life.

Tuesday 3 June: “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as in heaven.” Consider today what God's Kingdom might look like in your circumstances and what might need to change for God's will to be done. Then ask God to bring it about. Pray for chaplains leading High School Assemblies the next four mornings.

Wednesday 4 June: “Give us today our daily bread.” Depend upon God today for what you truly need and banish all other things from your mind. Pray for those in our world who are hungry and for those who need spiritual nourishment. Remember the work of Broke Not Broken.

Thursday 5 June: “Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.” Before you pray today, ask if there is anyone you feel has wronged you that you need to find it in your heart to forgive before you ask God to forgive you. Pray for healing and reconciliation in the midst of the world's conflict zones.

Friday 6 June: “Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” Take time to reflect on what is wrong in the world, in our own nation and community and in our own lives; give thanks that Christ has won the victory over evil and pray that darkness may be overcome by light in the situations you have brought to mind. Pray for the BB Display Night this evening.

Saturday 7 June: “For the Kingdom, the power and the glory are Yours now and forever.” Give thanks for ways in which God has answered your prayers in the past week and pray that the Holy Spirit may be poured out upon those for whom you have been praying. Pray for Jenni Baillie and Jamie McPherson as they are married today and for the Debrecen Quiz Night this evening.

Amen
