Prayer Points for The Coming Week
Sunday 1 February. Pray that all who gather for worship this morning may have a life-changing encounter with the living God in word and sacrament and in fellowship.
Monday 2 February. Pray that we may each know the presence of Jesus in the midst of daily life and that we may reflect His character and His ways in our thoughts and words and actions.
Tuesday 3 February. Ask God's peace upon the world that there may be healing and reconciliation in everything from family tensions to international disputes.
Wednesday 4 February. Remember those who are going through hard times at the moment because of illness or anxiety, persecution, bereavement or stress.
Thursday 5 February. Ask God's blessing on Alex and Hazel Johnson as they prepare to move into the Manse at Crook of Devon and begin a new chapter in their lives as Alex is ordained and inducted as team minister in Kinross-shire.
Friday 6 February. Pray for the Presbytery of Perth as it meets tomorrow to oversee the work of the Church of Scotland in our area that Christ may be known in all discussions and that the Kingdom of God may be extended through all decisions made.
Saturday 7 February. God of light, your searching Spirit reveals and illumines your presence in creation. Shine your radiant holiness into our lives, that we may offer our hands and hearts to your work: to heal and shelter, to feed and clothe, to break every yoke and silence evil tongues.
