Minister’s Message 27 July
Dear Friends
Thanks to all who prayed for the Magnitude Youth Festival at Lendrick Muir this past week and to those offered practical support with cooking and delivery of food. By all accounts it has been a very successful week of mission that will have a significant impact not only on many individuals but on our nation. Organised by Scripture Union with support from many other national Christian organisations, some 1800 people attended from all over Scotland, including a good number from Kinross-shire with KYTHE. You can get a flavour of the week from the following short www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfAWRiKDxIA
Looking ahead to Family Week which is now just over a week away, I also want to call you to prayer for the event, for all the children and young people who will attend and their wider families, and for the volunteers who are making final preparations for the week.
There is one particular need that has arisen. Because we have not been able to arrange safeguarding clearance for the three visitors coming from our partner church in Debrecen in the time available they will not be able to participate directly in Family Week as helpers. They are staying with a host family that is involved in Family Week so I would like to ask for volunteers who could take our Hungarian visitors one morning each between Monday 4 and Friday 8 August and perhaps do something cultural with them and give them some lunch that day. I hope we would be able to find five different hosts and if you are interested in helping in some way please get in touch directly with me.
I hope we can work something out.
With all prayerful good wishes.
Alan
