Minister’s Message 19 October
Dear Friends
As I mentioned last week, we are regrettably not going to be able to live-stream or record this Sunday's service from Kinross. Apologies to those of you who are physically not able to get out to church. Recordings of the services at Orwell, and at Fossoway, will be available on Youtube by Sunday afternoon and links to these will also be posted on the Kinross Church Facebook page when they become available. But if you have not been out to church in person for a while why not make the effort to come this Sunday if you can? Your presence is missed and I and others in the congregation will be delighted to see you.
Looking ahead to the following week, please remember that on Wednesday 29 October we are to be hosting a concert by a brass band from Germany in Kinross Church at 7.30pm. It would be great to have a good audience for what promises to be an excellent concert. There is a 'Posaunenchor' – literally a 'trumpet choir' – in many German churches. Entry to the concert is free but there is an opportunity to make a donation to the work of Kinross Centre and KYTHE if you wish.
On Friday 31 October we have our annual Light Party for all ages in Kinross Church, an opportunity to dress up and play games while focussing on Jesus the Light of the World rather than the horror and darkness that is so often the focus of this time of year.
Please keep in your prayers the elders of the united congregation who are meeting this Wednesday to discuss a number of areas of our church life including how we keep in touch with you all, how we care for those who are needing pastoral support and whether our current pattern of services should be reviewed. Please also pray for the Nominating Committee in their search for our second team minister.
Every blessing,
Alan
Revd. A.D. Reid
