Minister’s Message 12 October
Dear Friends,
Many of you will remember Alan McKay who did a student placement with us from
September 2022 to Easter 2023. He was ordained and inducted to the parish of
Baljaffray in Bearsden on Friday evening when Anne and Jim Redpath, Alex Johnson and
I were able to be present. Join with me in seeking God's blessing on his ministry over the
coming years.
The date has now been fixed for the service of Introduction of Rev Anne Redpath as
Associate Minister in the linked charge of St Madoes & Kinfauns with Errol. It will be held
at Errol Church on Thursday 6 November at 7pm and I am honoured to have been asked
to preach at the service. I hope that all who are able will come to support Anne on this
significant occasion.
The theme of our service this Sunday will be Faith and Gratitude. As we join in giving
thanks for the beginning of two new ministries, please pray on for our own Nominating
Committee as they consider any applications that may have been received for the
vacancy in our own parish. I wonder what blessings you have to count at this time and
whether you have taken the time consciously to offer thanks to God for them?
For any who are interested, last Sunday evening's Presbytery Praise service from
Dunblane can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoTKHUDp_0o and you
can download the words for the hymns to sing along if you wish at the following link:

Finally, thinking ahead to next Sunday (19th October), please note that we will
regrettably not be able to live-stream or record the church service that morning. My
apologies for the inconvenience. For those who are unable to come to church in Kinross
in person, links for the services from Fossoway and Orwell will be given in next week's
notices instead.
Every blessing
Alan
Rev A D Reid
