Minister’s Message 10 May

08 May 2026

Dear Friends
This Sunday is the first of our occasional pulpit swaps, so Alan will be leading
worship in Fossoway and Orwell, while I will be at Kinross. We're excited by
this as it gives us an opportunity to minister to the whole parish and we hope
you will enjoy the variety this gives to Sunday worship.
Across the whole parish we will be reading James 2:1-13, which is a practical
outworking of how Jesus understood the Law. We are to love God and love
our neighbours. In this command one follows on from the other, “We love
because [God] first loved us.” (1 John 4:19). Love is that natural consequence
that flows from the activity and nature of God.
We see that outpouring of love in all our activities across all our
congregations, from ‘All Friends Together’, which celebrates 10 years next
Saturday, to the hard work and dedication of the team reformatting this email
so that it can truly be a parish-wide communication. It is shown as people
serve one another and the wider community through the power of the Holy
Spirit. This is worship, to share with each other in the love of God.

See you on Sunday,

Alex Johnson
