Appointment of New Minister to Kinross-shire Parish Church
We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new minister to the role of ‘Minister B’within the united Kinross‑shire Parish Church. Sole Nominee Alex Johnson led public worship on Sunday 11th January 2026 in Fossoway and Orwell Churches, after which a secret‑ballot vote was held, overseen by Interim Moderator for the vacancy, Rev. Marc Prowe, and two members of Carse of Gowrie Kirk.
A clear majority voted in favour of Alex’s appointment, with votes FOR electing 193 and votes AGAINST 20. Alex has therefore been elected and appointed, subject to the approval of Presbytery, to join our Team Ministry alongside Rev. Alan Reid.
This marks an important milestone for our church, and we are delighted that Alex has accepted the call to serve in our parish. We extend our warmest congratulations to Alex and to his family, and offer prayerful good wishes for his journey ahead.
