Prayer Points 30 November
Prayers for The Coming Week
Sunday 30 November. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you
trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
(Romans 15:13) Pray for an increase in your hope and faith this Advent.
Monday 1 December. At the start of this Advent season, let us take time today to
remember before God those areas in which we have fallen short; as individuals,
families, church families, as congregations, presbyteries and national church; as a
nation and as people of the world and to ask for fresh mercy and forgiveness.
“Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is near.” (Matthew 3:2)
Tuesday 2 December. Taking encouragement from the fact that Christ promises that He will
build His church in us and through us, pray for our church today here in Kinross-shire.
Wednesday 3 December. Ask God what message there is for you particularly today from on
high. Open your ears as you open your Bible and share what God has said to you
with someone else.
Thursday 4 December. Pray today for children and young people, that more and more may
come to know what it is to be a child of God. Pray that God will draw whole families
into the church in these days.
Friday 5 December. Ask God to show you what needs to pray for in the wider community, in
our nation and in the world at large. Pray that God will equip you and others to be the
answer to your prayers.
Saturday 6 December. God of timeless grace, you fill us with joyful expectation. Make us
ready for the message that prepares the way, that with uprightness of heart and holy
joy we may eagerly await the kingdom of your Son, Jesus Christ, who reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever.
Amen
