Prayers for The Coming Week
Sunday 2 November. Seek God's blessing on our gatherings for worship in
Kinross, Orwell, Fossoway and Cleish this morning and pray that all who take part
may be touched by the grace of the Holy Spirit today and in the coming days.
Monday 3 November. Take some time today to be completely still and to know that the Lord is
God. In the stillness surrender yourself afresh to Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord.
Tuesday 4 November. Remember before God today those who live in fear for their lives,
especially those who are persecuted for their faith in Christ and pray that they may be
emboldened in sharing the Good News about Jesus even in the face of death.
Wednesday 5 November. Pray for all those in authority in our own land and in other nations
that the rule of law may be upheld and the ways of justice prevail. Ask God to thwart
the plans of those who seek to undermine good order.
Thursday 6 November. Pray for the young people who will be involved with Remembrance commemorations over the coming week.
Friday 7 November. In the face of conflict in so many places in our world, pray that the Lord Jesus would be enthroned as the Prince of Peace in the hearts of more and more men, women and children across the globe as, one by one, people bow the knee to Him.
Saturday 8 November. O God, in Christ you give us hope for a new heaven and a new earth. Grant us wisdom to interpret the signs of our times, courage to stand in the time of trial, and faith to witness to your truth and love.
