The Guild

13 Nov 2022

We have had four face-to-face meetings this session so far and each has been well attended and enjoyed. One of our meetings was on one of the projects the Guild is supporting – Blether with Beat – and Kerry Coull from Beat gave an enlightening talk on eating disorders and how Beat can help. £200 was raised on the night.

An excellent talk was given by Lesley-Ann Calvert and fun was had playing Scrabble at the fundraising night. Thank you to everyone who brought along things for our “This and That” stall and also to Karena Jarvie and Traidcraft for donations. Austin Wicks stepped in at short notice to talk to us about his calling to ministry and this was great.

By the time you're reading this we should have had talks by Brian Timms and a representative from the Great Scottish Tapestry.

Looking ahead, we have another project talk on 10 January from UNIDA – Hear our Voice and on 14 February Dr Gillian Baughan on Strathcarron Hospice. Please contact the Church Office if you would like to join us on Zoom – all are welcome!
