Prayer Points w/b 6 April
We believe in a God that hears and answers prayer. Why not print this page and use it this week?
Sunday 6 April: Pray for all those with a part to play in the life of our congregation not just on Sundays at worship and in the various groups that meet during the week but also behind the scenes in unsung ways.
Monday 7 April: Ask God to undergird the work of organisations like MAF, Tearfund, Mercy Ships and Christian Aid as they seek to bring practical help and the Gospel of Christ to those in need across the world.
Tuesday 8 April: Pray for the families of Ian Finnie and Maysie Gibson whose funerals will take place this week, that they may all know the comfort and peace of the Good Shepherd in these days.
Wednesday 9 April: Lift before God tonight's meeting of the united Kirk Session and all those in the congregation who have strong feelings on both sides of the debate about ministers in same sex relationships and pray that, whatever the outcome of the discussion, the congregation may be united in its mission to share the transforming love of Christ with all people.
Thursday 10 April: Pray for the united congregation of Montrose Trinity as the second team minister, Rev Michelle McAdoo, is inducted tonight.
Friday 11 April: Keep the work of Broke Not Broken in your prayers and remember before God all those who are struggling to make ends meet at a time of economic strain.
Saturday 12 April: Compassionate God, your love finds full expression in the gift of Jesus Christ your Son, who willingly met betrayal and death to set us free from sin. Give us courage to live obediently in these days until we greet the glory of our risen Saviour.
