Minister’s Message - Sunday 17 September 2023

17 Sep 2023

Dear Friends,

One last shout for responses to Austin's survey of favourite hymns – he would really like to hear from as wide a spectrum of people as possible so that includes you! The survey will close on Sunday night so please get yours in either via the link further down this week's email or by filling in a paper copy at church on Sunday morning.

Another request to make this week is for any in the congregation who are interested in getting involved in visiting. This is mainly to offer support to those who are housebound or no longer able to attend church in person but there will also be opportunities for those who would like to do more specialised visiting such as following a bereavement. There will be a short gathering over coffee time after the service this Sunday to speak further about what might be involved. Training will be available both locally and through the Presbytery but come along this Sunday to find out more.

In this Sunday's service we will be marking Disability Sunday and celebrating the role that God gives to each and every one of us in the Kingdom regardless of our abilities. It's a reminder to us all that none of us is completely capable of everything and that we need each other in the Body of Christ if we are accomplish what God wants us to in the world.

Finally, thanks to Austin for holding the fort while I take a couple of weeks off to recharge my batteries.

With all prayerful good wishes,

Alan
