Minister’s Message - 7 August 2022
I write as Family Week draws to a close with the usual mixture of exhaustion and elation. We have been blessed with a hard-working and enthusiastic team and large numbers of children and young people from across the community. The work begins now, of course, to nurture the good seed that has been sown and that is a task for every single one of us. Please continue to pray for every family touched by this outreach that they may come to know with assurance that God enfolds them in perfect love and seeks the very best for each one - life in all its fulness. Please also play your part in the nurturing of relationships begun or deepened during Family Week. It takes a whole church to make disciples and your role is essential.
Please also remember in your prayers those who have been bereaved in recent days - Tim Brown whose mother's funeral took place on Friday and the families of George Aitken and Dennis Gordon whose funerals will both take place on Tuesday. The support and encouragement of those around us is also a ministry shared by each of us. It takes a whole church to nurture faith so use your gifts for the common good.
With all prayerful good wishes,
Rev. A.D. Reid
