Good Morning from Kinross Parish Church

18 Oct 2020

Note: Alan is on leave following the death of his father. Please keep Alan, Christine and all his family in your prayers during this time of loss.

Noted physicist and confirmed atheist, Stephen Hawking, once wrote that it is no longer a matter of whether or not God exists, but rather if we need God at all. Hawking’s statement has been raised in various forms throughout history. The apostle Paul in his letter to the people of Colossae wrote of the supremacy of Jesus Christ to a people who worshipped many gods.  Even the final words of the Gospel of Matthew foretold an element of doubt as the disciples gathered on the mountain top with our resurrected Lord. Verse 17 says, “When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted.” So, how do we describe our Lord in a world filled with doubt?  This morning we will continue our sermon series on the letter to the Colossians with a look at the “Cosmic Christ”. I hope you will be able to join us “live” on Facebook at 10:30am this morning or anytime on our YouTube channel.

Wherever you are this day, may you be filled without a doubt of the peace and assurance that God in Christ through the unity of the Holy Spirit is with you.
