Paul the Apostle wrote letters to many of the early churches and each one begins with the greeting, 'Grace and Peace to you'.
Grace is undeserved good, a longing that the 'you' will have the very best of joy.
Peace is not so much the absence of noise or trouble, but the confidence that, whatever may happen of good or bad, we have the resources in our lives to meet every situation.
The source of the grace the peace with which Christians can greet each other is a reflection of the grace and peace of God we find in Jesus Christ.
Grace and Peace to you.
