THE GIFT OF A MEAL

Posted on: March 9, 2019

Do you love to cook? Often have a bit extra in the freezer? Or perhaps you're looking for ways to fulfil that New Year’s resolution of helping out in your community? Food Tidings, the project that arranges for hot meals to be delivered to local people, is searching for volunteer home cooks who can help us meet a real need. You opt in to help when you can, prepare what suits you and Food Tidings lets you know where and when to deliver the meal.

Many people have benefited from a week of evening meals when recovering from an illness, or hot food delivered after a bereavement or new baby. Food Tidings is designed to provide meaningful, practical short-term support and is a great way of showing the wider community how much Kinross Parish Church cares. Although demand for Food Tidings is variable, we are struggling to fulfil requests with our current list of volunteers, especially during holiday times. We would hugely appreciate your help.
