The Boys’ Brigade & Girls’ Association

A team of four Anchors took part in Perth Battalion's mid-day hike at Quarry Mill, Scone where they faced a variety of challenges on their route. The Kinross team finished as overall winners - well done our four Anchors.

Junior section members have been painting poppy designs on stones in preparation for the 100th commemoration of Armistice, where the painted stones will be placed in our local remembrance garden.

Bugle practice has started again with a beginners class, so it has been a wee bit noisy in the hall - hopefully, we can get the youngsters to play more harmoniously over the comingweeks and months!

Both Junior and Company sections learned much from an illustrated talk by Lieutenant Colonel Andy Middlemass on the impact of the First World War on the country with a focus on the part Scottish regiments played over the years 1914-1918. Preparations are also underway for our annual enrolment service and a visit to a local pantomime to round off the year before the Christmas holiday period.

There are still vacancies for new members in all of our three sections:

Anchors (for boys and girls in P1, P2, and P3), Juniors (for boys and

girls in P4, P5, and P6), and Company (for boys and girls aged 12-18).

All groups meet on a Friday evening. For further details, please contact Company Captain David Munro (862126).
