FOOD TIDINGS - THE GIFT OF A MEAL

FOOD TIDINGS - THE GIFT OF A MEAL

What? Food Tidings is a project coordinated by Kinross Parish Church that arranges for volunteers to deliver hot home-cooked food to the door of anyone who may need or appreciate it. It’s free and available to anyone, regardless of their relationship to the Church.

How? Food Tidings matches recipients with volunteer home cooks, and takes care of information about likes and dislikes and dietary requirements. Cooks deliver food at an agreed time and leave the recipient to enjoy their meal.

Why Food Tidings? We can all do with practical help at different times in our lives. The simple gift of nourishing, lovingly prepared meals can sometimes make a big difference.

- For a family dealing with illness or bereavement

- For someone convalescing at home

- As a way of helping out when there is a new baby

- To support those who cook and care for others every day

- As a gift to someone who lives alone

How can you help? To arrange meals for you or someone you know, email kinrossfoodtidings@hotmail.com, call the Church Office or contact Esther Blackburn on 01577 865556.

We are looking for cooks! To volunteer as a cook, please contact kinrossfoodtidings@hotmail.com or the Church Office. You’ll need an email address and your own transport, and you decide what to cook and when.
